Hoaloha Jeep Adventures Details
Hoaloha Jeep Adventures provides a truly unique Road to Hana experience. There are other great tours, but most take you along in a van with capacities of 8-14 passengers. With these Jeep tours, you’ll get a more intimate experience with just your group of 4-7, or you can even take a solo trip!
Please note for all tours:
– For the 4 seater: the 4th passenger will have a middle seat, and for solo travelers, there is a minimum of 2 paid seats.
– For the 7-seater: the 6th and 7th passengers will have middle seats.
– The Pipiwai Trail/Seven Sacred Pools (‘Ohe’o Gulch) is located within Haleakala National Park and they do not have a permit to enter the park. Tour companies are also not allowed to take anyone into the park, even if the guests have their own passes.
– They can accommodate larger groups with multiple Jeeps and caravan together!
The Reverse Hana Road – Their most popular tour
Doing the full circle Road to Hana route counter-clockwise (the Reverse Road to Hana Tour) will take you in the opposite direction of traffic and give you the ability to see more than the traditional route with smaller crowds.
Length: 11-12 hours
The route: Start at the southern point of Hana Highway through Hana Town then take the famous northern route back to where you started.
Highlights: Numerous waterfalls, lunch in or near Hana town, Ke’anae Village, Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles at Ho’okipa, a lava cave, rare colorful beaches, panoramic ocean views, and opportunities for light off-roading along a secluded beach.
Add-ons: 17 additional (optional) drive-by or stops
You will likely miss Aunt Sandy’s Banana Bread and the Hana Lava Tube because they close before you can get there.
Halfway to Hana – The best option for families with young children
Whether you have little ones who can only tolerate being on the road for so long, or a 12-hour day just isn’t the best fit for your group, this is a great option for you. This tour is available to take in their 4-seater Jeep or their 7-seater Wagoneer.
Length: 6-8 hours
The route: Hana Highway to the Ke’anae Peninsula and back.
Highlights: Waterfalls, Ke’anae Village with Aunty Sandy’s famous banana bread, and green sea turtles at Ho’okipa.
Add-ons: 7 additional (optional) drive-bys or stops.
Not included: Black Sand Beach at Wai’anapanapa State Park, the red sand at Kaihalulu Beach, or Hana Town.
The Classic Road to Hana
Take the Road to Hana the good old-fashioned way and hit all the best stops. This tour is available to take in their 4-seater Jeep or their 7-seater Wagoneer.
Length: 10-11 hours
The route: The famous northern route to Hana Town and back.
Highlights: Numerous waterfalls, lunch in or near Hana town, Ke’anae Village, green sea turtles at Ho’okipa, and a rare black sand beach.
Add-ons: 13 additional (optional) drive-bys or stops.

What is the cancellation policy?
They offer a full refund up to two weeks prior to your tour. Any tours canceled within the final two weeks prior to your tour will incur a $50 cancellation fee (plus booking fees) per booked Jeep. (This covers the Waianapanapa State Park voucher, which gets you into the black sand beach and is non-refundable, as well as any administration fees involved with cancellation.) Any tours canceled within the final 72 hours prior to the start of your tour will not receive a refund.

Where do the tours start?
Tours start at your hotel, vacation rental, or cruise ship port. They can pick you up and drop you off wherever you need as well.
What about bad weather?
Your safety always comes first! If the weather is unsafe for travel, Hoaloha will do their best to reschedule you, and if that’s not possible, you will get a full refund. However, it is still the rainforest and they do go out in the rain! Only if there are flash flood warnings or their drivers feel unsafe, do they cancel or try to reschedule for a later date.
