Recommended Accommodations

TripAdvisor
When we stay in hotels, we default to TripAdvisor to find the best deals and reviews. It is by far the easiest website to shop hotels while finding honest reviews.
As we are always keen to explore new trails, snorkel spots, and towns when we island-hop so we rarely stay in the same hotel twice. That is why we go to TripAdvisor to find the best hotel in the town we are going to. With a toddler, and sometimes our dog Hattie traveling with us, the reviews are a huge help to make sure everyone is safe and comfortable.
Airbnb
Our toddler Henry loves green grass to run around and we like him to have his own room when we travel. Those are two of many reasons why we go with Airbnb on the majority of our island-hopping trips. Airbnbs allows you to explore the neighborhoods and truly get engrossed in the local culture.
Our favorite Airbnb gem was a three-room house in Holualoa, Hawaii (Big Island). We had banana trees out front, a breadfruit tree overhead, and the most amazing view of the ocean from 1,200 feet above Kona. A short walk down the road was the artsy and Kona coffee-soaked town of Holualoa. We were there for their First Friday festival. We had a blast, thanks to finding the home on Airbnb.
If it is your first visit to Hawaii or your fourth, give Airbnb a try to discover the Hawaiian islands.
