This is one of our favorite whale-watching tours on Maui! From mid-December to mid-April this kayak and snorkeling tour turns into an epic whale-watching experience. Get close encounters by viewing whales in this natural setting. The kayak whale-watching tour also includes snorkeling on Olowalu Reef!

Ditch the crowds, relax, and snorkel at your own pace. Erica and I love kayaking and snorkeling at Olowalu. The reef is best accessed by kayak. With crystal clear waters, large coral heads, and plenty of Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles to swim with, this tour is great for your family or partner.

Kayak Snorkeling FAQ
Please note the cancellation policy below. Basic swimming skills are required. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No previous kayaking experience is required.
What is the cancellation policy?
Any cancellations MUST be made at least 48 hours before tour time for a refund. Maui Adventure Tours reserves the right to choose an alternate location or cancel the tour with a full refund due to adverse ocean and weather conditions.
What is included on the tour?
Your tour includes all snorkel equipment, kayak equipment, floatation device, a small dry bag for car keys and mobile device, water, and snacks. An underwater camera is available to rent.
Can I bring an underwater camera?
Absolutely! Bring a GoPro or another suitable water camera to get underwater shots. Maui Adventure Tours also provides underwater cameras for $20 rental, you keep the memory chip.
Is transportation provided from my hotel or condo?
Afraid not! Transporation services are not available. If you do not have a rental car, you can take an Uber, Lyft, or taxi to the departure location.
What do I bring on the snorkeling trip?
Bring a hat, sunglasses, bathing suit, and a towel! Maui Adventure Tours provides small dry bags that can hold a camera and car keys.
Will I get seasick?
Seasickness is rare on a kayak but possible. If you are prone to seasickness, as a precaution, motion sickness medicine should be taken the night before the tour to solve all worries.
