Aloha! Welcome to Oahu. By now you’ve stepped off the plane into the open-air airport and you’re smelling the flowers that fill the air. Before heading to your hotel to settle in, go rent a car. You'll want one for this itinerary. After you unpack, explore Waikiki by foot to stretch.
Start your day with a hike up a 300,000-year-old volcanic crater. Then hop into your car and take a driving tour of the southeast coast of Oahu. You'll see Lanai Lookout, Makapu’u Point Lighthouse Trail, and more before returning to dine at Waikiki.
Wind your way to the Nu’uanu Pali lookout. Then after breakfast, head towards the beautiful Lanikai Beach. Enjoy some swimming and kayaking before taking in one of two historical sites: Pearl Harbor or Iolani Palace. Finally, enjoy a delicious dinner and relax a bit.
Pack your bags and set out on an overnight adventure. Enjoy a tour of the Dole Plantation then go drop your bags off at Turtle Bay Resort. Use the free snorkel gear to take in some underwater sights. After lunch take a hike on the Waimea Valley trail for a waterfall swim.
You'll spend most of today enjoying the sights and sounds of Haleiwa Town. Take in a surf lesson, paddle up the river, and explore the boutique shops that line the streets. Then try to spy some Honu at Papa'iloa Beach. Watch a beautiful sunset from Sunset Beach.
