Zipline Course Highlights

You’re on West Maui and you’re ready for an adventure on land. Head up to Kapalua Ziplines. They offer two tours – 4-line zipline and 6-line zipline courses.

4-Line Zipline Tour Highlights

  • 2.5 hours
  • Total length zipped: 5,350 ft.

6-Line Zipline Tour Highlights

  • 3.5 hours
  • Total zipline length: 8,500 ft.

Their most popular course is their 6-line ziplines course. The 3.5-hour activity starts off with check-in at the zipline office, near the Ritz Carlton. Here you’ll be fitted with helmets and gear before heading into a van for a 15-minute drive up the mountain.

Up top, you’ll be treated to a 6-line zipline tour, including one practice zipline. All the ziplines are dual ziplines. You also have a chance to walk over Maui’s longest suspension bridge, taking you over a bamboo forest. Don’t forget about the ATV ride out on the course too!

FAQ: Zipline Adventure

Check-in for the tour is 30 minutes prior to your tour. You’ll check in at the Kapalua Zipline office at 500 Office Road, Lahaina.

What is the cancellation policy?

  • For a 100% refund, cancellations and changes must be made at least 48 hours prior to tour time.
  • If you need to cancel due to illness or a medical emergency, they require a doctor’s note from a local Maui doctor/clinic in order to process a full refund.
  • Kapalua Zipline tours run RAIN or SHINE. They do not refund for inclement weather, owever, they do provide rain jackets when needed.
  • They will cancel tours in the event of extremely high winds, thunder, and lightning. They will reschedule your tour or refund the proportion of your tour not completed.

Who is eligible to participate in the zipline tour?

Zipline participants must be at least 4 feet tall and between 60 lbs and 250 lbs. Participants must be 10 years and older. Zipliners from age 10-14 must be accompanied by a parent. Participants 15-17 can zipline alone, but they need to have an adult sign a waiver.

Guests who are pregnant, have heart conditions, or have other unhealed injuries are not able to participate.

How much walking is required?

1 mile! Make sure you’re up for it.

What should you wear?

Close-toed shoes are required. Make sure to bring boots or tennis shoes — something that you’re comfortable walking in. You’ll want sunscreen and sunglasses as well. Also, bring some warmer layers because things get much chillier and windier up the mountain. They operate rain or shine, and if it is raining they will provide rain jackets.
