About the Manta Ray Night Snorkel and Dive
Head out on a sunset boat ride with Kona Ocean Adventures and have your choice: snorkel or dive with manta rays. If you’re a snorkeler, you’ll stay at the surface of the water holding onto a floating board while you watch the manta rays swim and feed beneath you. For the certified divers in the group, you’ll head down to the sandy bottom where you will see the mantas swim above and next to you.
The boat tour leaves from the Honokohau small boat harbor. From there it will either head to Manta Heaven in Makako Bay or down to Manta Village in Keahou Bay (depending on manta ray sightings). It’s a 20-30 minute boat ride to the snorkeling sites.
