Quick Overview
In a nutshell: The only Ko Olina vacation rentals located right on the beach!
Overview of the Beach Villas at Ko Olina
Two and three bedroom high end vacation rentals are available for your Ko Olina vacation. Enjoy the lagoons, walk the beach boardwalk, and take advantage of the leeward side’s many sunny days. These vacation rentals are located over two towers and include many amenities you’d find at a hotel, like a fitness center, great pools, a beach bar, and a sauna and steam room.

Beach Villas at Ko Olina Location
Enjoy the Beach Villas sunny spot on lagoon two in Ko Olina, a resort development on the sunny leeward side of Oahu. Located 30 minutes west of the Honolulu airport and 45 minutes from Waikiki, Ko Olina is a bit secluded and it can take a while to get to other sights on the island. But you trade lack of accessibility for a dreamy, sunny, beach resort location.
Highlights of the Beach Villas at Ko Olina
Pools
There are a few pools on-site to choose from. You have a lap pool which is also the quiet pool, a family pool, and a kids wading pool. There are also hot tubs on site as well as saunas and steam rooms.
Units
Condo units are located in two towers: the beach tower and the ocean tower. The Beach tower is closest to the beach and the kid pool and the ocean tower has a fitness center and a lap pool.
Each vacation rental unit is individually owned and managed, so the furnishings, finishings, and upkeep will be different between each unit.
The villas are all spacious, offering two or three bedroom options. You can also choose between partial ocean view and ocean view properties.
Restaurants
As this is a vacation rental community, on-site dining options are limited. The only on-site restaurant is the Makai-Hale Beach Bar.
Luckily, there are plenty of other restaurants available within walking distance. Within an approximately 10 minute walk, you’ll find Ko Olina Station and Ko Olina Center, offering restaurants like Monkeypod, Eggs n Things, and Island Vintage Coffee. Or for a more upscale dining experience, consider Roy’s, also within walking distance.
Beach Villas at Ko Olina Review: why we love it
- Vacation rentals within Ko Olina: if you want to stay in a vacation rental rather than one of the three Ko Olina resorts, this is a great option. You’re centrally located on lagoon 2 and can
- Plenty of space: with the two bedroom units measuring well above 1,000 square feet, you have plenty of space to stretch out and enjoy.
- Quiet lagoon 2: while all of the lagoons are public, this one seems to be the one that is consistently the quietest. Lagoon 1 is busy with both the Disney Aulani and the Four Seasons located on it. Lagoon 3 has the Marriott Beach Club property, and lagoon 4 has a large public parking lot which means it gets slightly more crowded.
- Easy walk to Ko Olina Center and Ko Olina Station: if you want to head out for a meal or snack (or ice cream!), a variety of restaurants are just a short walk away.
- Good value: while these vacation rentals are by no means cheap, they offer a good value compared to the other resorts in Ko Olina. The Four Seasons and Disney Aulani are generally more expensive than the rentals here and at the Beach Villas you can enjoy more space and a full kitchen.
- Two great tours nearby: There’s not a ton to do on the leeward side of the island, so you’ll find yourself driving a lot for sightseeing. If you’re looking for more to do without leaving Ko Olina, one of our favorite Oahu snorkeling tours leaves from Ko Olina. And if you’re not interested in snorkeling, hit the water with them on their sunset cruise.
Things to Know Before Booking the Beach Villas at Ko Olina
- Rental fees: All accommodations in Hawaii can come with some (rather large) fees. Whether you’re in a hotel paying resort fees or you’re getting a vacation rental and paying service fees, factor these into your equation. We usually go with VRBO because we’ve found that these fees are usually lower than what you’ll find on other similar platforms.
- No unit consistency: all of these vacation rentals are individually owned, so there’s a lack of consistency. Some have excellent views and others come with a less impressive view or fewer helpful in-unit amenities. Reading reviews of individual units can always give you a better sense of what to expect before booking.
