Our Experience
We weren’t sure what to expect for our Paniolo Picnic at Maui Alpaca Farm. We showed up and were warmly greeted by the owner, Janet. She introduced us to the tour and then we all sat down for lunch.
We sat at a table next to the Alpacas so we could see them (and get excited) while eating. Truthfully, our son Henry had trouble eating because he was so excited to meet the Alpacas.
This is a small group tour. Janet likes to keep the picnic at 10 to 15 people so everyone has ample time with the alpacas and to ask questions.
After lunch, we all went into the Alpaca pen armed with food for them! We spent a good amount feeding the Alpacas and petting them. Henry had a blast! And we had plenty of time to take great family photos.
Afterward, we visited the bunnies and learned how their fleece is turned into yarn to make various products.
We honestly had a wonderful time and our son was tearful when it was time to leave. It was such a fun, memorable, and unique experience. And we love any reason to head to upcountry Maui!
