Activity Overview
Maui Gold Pineapple lost its office and storefront in the Lahaina Fire but their farm is still running. Tours resume September 1, 2023. They have started a Go Fund Me page in order to help their employees, some of whom will have to relocate off the island.
Welcome to the only pineapple tour on Maui! We were hesitant about this tour when we heard some of the time is spent on a shuttle van driving through the pineapple fields but we were wrong. This tour lived up to the hype for Erica and me. The tour guide was phenomenal at keeping us informed and entertained. Sure, we took a shuttle ride out to the fields after a long tour of the pineapple factory, but how else are you going to get to pick and eat ripe pineapples with bi-coastal views?
We learned how pineapples take 18 months to grow, how they replant, and why so many get rejected before they head to the grocery store. As a pineapple lover, this tour has me only eating Maui Gold now.

Maui Gold Pineapple Farm & Factory Tour Details
Tour one of the only two pineapple farms in America. Welcome to Maui’s Pineapple Plantation, home to Maui Gold Pineapples. So much sweeter than Dole Pineapples!
If you need a reason to visit Upcountry Maui (we have a lot of reasons you should!), then this should be on your list. Pineapples are synonymous with Hawaii so no visit is complete without touring a working pineapple plantation, seeing the production facility, walking a pineapple field, tasting fresh pineapple, and learning the rich history of pineapple farming on Maui. That is a lot of stuff!
Plus, you go home with a boxed, airport-ready pineapple! Nothing tastes sweeter than a hand-picked, machete-cut pineapple straight from the fields.
