Road to Hana Tour Summary

Full-Circle Road to Hana Tour Around Haleakala

The Road to Hana tops most visitors’ lists when they head to Maui. But the trip is long and there are so many amazing stops. Let a local guide from Hawaii Tours show you around while you enjoy the world-famous scenic tour of beautiful east Maui. With increased fines for illegal parking and increased traffic, a guided tour may be the best option for you.

Luxury Road to Hana Tour Highlights

Road to Hana Done Right

Experience the Road to Hana with a hassle-free guided trip. And not just any guided trip. This tour from Hawaii Tours makes it easy to sit back and enjoy the ride.

Your tour begins bright and early with pickup from your hotel or vacation rental. From there, you’ll head through the upcountry and continue on to Hana by taking the backside route. This route isn’t the easiest to navigate, but your experienced guide will navigate the road to your first stop in the Kipahulu District, Oheo Gulch. From there your tour stops are customized to your preferences. Some typical stops include Hamoa Beach, Waianapanapa State Park, Keanae Peninsula, waterfalls, and more.

By enjoying the Road to Hana in reverse, you’ll be able to see some sights before they get too crowded. You’ll also drive the road in a full circle, meaning you’ll save some time by taking the slightly shorter backside (while still enjoying all the sights).

Should you use a guide or DIY for the Hana Highway?

The Hawaii Tourism Authority is trying to encourage visitors to hire a local guide to help them navigate the Road to Hana. Traffic and illegal parking have become an issue along the popular route. Tour guides can help relieve this issue. Not only is using a tour guide recommended, but it will also help make your trip more pleasant. There is a lot to learn on the route and an experienced tour guide can help you get the most out of this long journey.
