The Grand Champions Wailea Location:

Located in the heart of Wailea, the Grand Champions Wailea puts you just steps from the Old Blue Golf Course and the Wailea Tennis Center, 1/2 mile from the Shops at Wailea, and 1 mile from Wailea Beach. In terms of getting around, you’ll be 30 minutes from Kahului Airport, 50 minutes from Ka’anapali, and 50 minutes from the start of the Road to Hana.

The Grand Champions Wailea Pool:

This property has two small pools and two hot tubs. The pools tend to be quiet, so they offer a nice reprieve if you’re looking to get away from crowds.

The Grand Champions Wailea Unit Sizes:

The Grand Champions is made up of 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom units all with air conditioning, private lanais, and a washer and dryer. Units range in size from 700 square foot studios to 1,700 square foot 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom units.

The Grand Champions Wailea Review: why we love it

• Location: it’s hard to find a bad location in Wailea, but for not being a beachfront property, the location is wonderful. You’re close to amazing South Maui beaches, the Shops at Wailea, golfing, tennis, and tropical gardens!
• Nearby activities: Our favorite Molokini Snorkel tour and a great sunset sail leave from Maluaka beach just 10 minutes south of these rentals. Plus the Feast at Mokapu Luau is at the Andaz just a mile away.
• Spacious units: These units are a very comfortable size with plenty of space to spread out and get some alone time if you’re traveling with a group.
• Quiet: Since the Grand Champions sits just outside of the primary stretch of resorts and beaches, you won’t have to worry about noisy events or beachgoers, but even beyond that, the property is tranquil and quiet. It’s perfect for anyone looking for a peaceful Maui getaway.

Things to Know Before Booking The Grand Champions Wailea

• Accessiblity: The buildings on this property are two stories and there are no elevators on site. These units are not advertised as accessible, so be sure to checkout out handicap friendly trip planning guide if this is a concern for you.
• Unit structure: Some rental owners choose to section off bedrooms in order to rent 2- or 3- bedroom units out as a studio and a separate 1- or 2-bedroom unit to different groups. The studios still have private entrances, but a shared (partitioned) lanai and kitchenettes instead of full kitchens.
• Rental fees: All accommodations in Hawaii can come with some (rather large) fees. Whether you’re in a hotel paying resort fees or you’re getting a vacation rental and paying service fees, factor these into your equation. We usually go with VRBO because we’ve found that these fees are usually lower than what you’ll find on other similar platforms. 
• No unit consistency: all of these vacation rentals are individually owned, so there’s a lack of consistency. Some have excellent views and others come with a less impressive view or fewer helpful in-unit amenities. Reading reviews of individual units can always give you a better sense of what to expect before booking.
