Tour Description
This tour starts with pickup from your Waikiki hotel and transport to HNL airport. There you’ll catch a flight over to Hilo, where your tour guide will meet you at the airport around 8:00 AM. From here, you’ll journey through Hilo, seeing and stopping at various places until the tour reaches the famed Rainbow Falls State Park on the edge of town.
The highlight of this tour is the many stops along Chain of Craters Road in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, where you can see an active volcano and past volcanic craters. See the steam vents and the crater’s destruction from the last eruption. See how the landscape changes and find additional information in the Learning Center or the Visitor Center.
You will also visit the sites around Hilo, like ‘Akaka Falls, Rainbow Falls, and drive by famous Banyan Drive and Liliuokalani Gardens.
