We love a good meal and when you’re on vacation, Lahaina really delivers with the quality and quantity of restaurants available. Since there are so many restaurants, we wanted to give you our favorites so you could have a handy list available for your visit. From fine dining to food trucks, these are the best restaurants in Lahaina.

Before we get to the full list, here are our top restaurant picks for specific dining experiences:

Now let’s get into the very important details of the best restaurants in Lahaina:

Map of the Best Restaurants in Lahaina

1. Paia Fish Market

Reservations: Not accepted
Indoor or outdoor dining: Both
Price point: $10+ for main dish

If you’re on the hunt for fresh fish, Paia Fish Market delivers. Located across the street from the historic Banyan Tree, this restaurant offers a variety of fish dishes for both lunch and dinner. This restaurant is so popular that it has three locations on Maui: Paia, Kihei, and Lahaina. The food is excellent, but they don’t accept reservations and it is a popular spot, so come prepared to wait.

We love getting the Ono Burger with fries — it delivers the best bang for your buck and is truly so delicious.

2. Star Noodle

Reservations: Strongly recommended
Indoor or outdoor dining: Outdoor
Price point: $15+ for main dishes

While we were sad to see Aloha Mixed Plate leave, we love the new ocean-front location of Star Noodle. Set at the north end of Front Street, you’ll get ocean views, a fantastic outdoor atmosphere, and mouth-watering Asian shared plates. The vibe is very fun and is great for couples on a date night as well as families (yes, we take our toddler here).

We haven’t had a bad dish yet, but we always opt for the pork buns and any of the ramen dishes.

3. The Marlin Bar

Reservations: Not accepted
Indoor or outdoor dining: Both
Price point: $14+ for main dishes

When the Marlin Bar first opened, we were skeptical. But this spot has quickly become our go-to for an easy, casual happy hour, lunch, or dinner. The location across the street from the ocean makes this spot special, but it’s the menu that keeps us coming back for more. Excellent cocktails, local craft beers, and fantastic food. Plus, the dining experience is well-streamlined with you ordering before you sit down.

What’s even better is the parking is easy here as it’s located as part of the Outlets of Maui.

4. Fleetwood’s on Front Street

Reservations: Strongly recommended
Indoor or outdoor dining: Both
Price point: $29+ for an entree

Music, great food, and a rooftop deck for sunset. What more could you want? This is a popular spot in downtown Lahaina and it offers a great vibe. You’ll get food that rivals any of the fine dining restaurants on Maui but in an “upscale casual” environment. They have nightly live music options which you can see in advance on their website and a solid happy hour. The seafood linguine is always a winner with us.

5. Sale Pepe

Reservations: Strongly recommended
Indoor or outdoor dining: Both
Price point: $17+ for pizza

I know you’re not coming to Maui for Italian food, but this restaurant is worthy of a top mention. If you need a break from fish and you’re craving a little something different, this spot makes food that almost makes you feel like you’re in Italy. Almost. While it’s location is in a strip mall off Front Street, it makes up for that with the flavorful food. We almost always opt for the pizza but each time we’ve had the pasta or a starter, we’ve loved it.

6. Eating Local

Reservations: Not accepted
Takeout only
Price point: $12+ for main

If you’re looking for good prices and great local grindz (food), this is your spot. A take-out only restaurant, they serve up dishes like loco moco, pulled pork with gravy, and ahi sandwiches. And, let’s not forget the poutine. The prices are great, especially considering that you’re right in the heart of Lahaina. But beware that they’re only open for breakfast and lunch and they’re closed on the weekends. They cater to the local crowd but they make food that everyone can enjoy.

7. Baya Bowls

Reservations: Not accepted
Takeout only
Price point: $10+ for acai bowl

When the weather is hot and you are looking for something refreshing, Baya Bowls has you covered. Serving up acai bowls and smoothies, Baya Bowls offers fresh ingredients, good prices, and a fun food truck experience. You can tell that they put a lot of effort into creating a great acai bowl for their customers. The acai is tasty and the toppings really set it apart. Fresh fruit, macadamia nuts, cacao nibs, and more. Baya Bowls is a favorite stop for breakfast, lunch, or an afternoon snack.

8. Moku Roots

Reservations: Not accepted
Indoor or outdoor dining? Both
Price point: $15+ for main dish

Good vegan food restaurants are surprisingly hard to come by on Maui. But Moku Roots is an exception. The food is so, so good. The buffalo ranch cauliflower wrap keeps me coming back for more. Not only is their food delicious, but they practice zero waste and shop sustainably from local farmers. Your to-go order will be wrapped in a banana leaf or in a metal box and your drink will be in a mason jar with a lid on it.  And they have an amazing drink menu on top of it all. Grab cold brew coffee, lavender lemonade, kombucha, or a drink from the bar.

9. Kusina Ni Jayboy

Reservations: Not accepted
Takeaway only
Price point: $9+ for main

Low-key, Filipino food served from a food truck (near Baya Bowls). The food is made right when you order so there can occasionally be a wait, but it’s worth it. Fried rice, crispy pork belly, loco moco, and stir fry are all on the menu here and the owner/chef knows how to make this food right.

10. Pacific’o

Reservations: Strongly recommend
Indoor or outdoor dining: Both
Price point: $38+ for a main plate

If you’re looking for beachfront dining in Lahaina, you can’t get any closer to the beach than this. Located at 505 Front Street, the outdoor seating at Pacific’o is practically in the sand. But the view isn’t the only thing to come for. Their menu focuses on local, organic produce that they grow upcountry at O’o Farms. The atmosphere is upscale but relaxed — it’s a little hard to be too uptight when you’re sitting on the beach. Sit on the patio at sunset and you will be rewarded with the best sunset views.

Pacific’o is also featured as one of our favorite restaurants for beachfront dining on Maui
