Oahu Farm Tour Details

This Oahu farm tour is focused primarily on chocolate, which is a great selling point! But that’s not all you’ll learn about or taste.

As you tour the farm, you can try some of the in-season crops. These include lychee, ulu, starfruit, coconut, papaya, and more.

You’ll learn about the process of growing cacao and making chocolate, from “tree to bar,” as they say! You’ll also experience Polynesian canoe crops, the farm, and the area’s history while learning about them with all of your senses.

Why We Like This Oahu Farm Tour:

Family-Owned, Family-Friendly

This is a family-owned and operated farm, and they keep your little ones in mind during the tour. It isn’t a hard sell with a chocolate and honey tasting at the end, but extras sprinkled in (baby goats, bunnies!) sweeten the deal for kids and adults.

Beautiful Setting

The property is gorgeous and set with views of the mountains on lush, windward Oahu.

Knowledgable Guides

Michael and Maria run the farm and the tours. They know their stuff after growing cacao and harvesting honey for many years. They provide an engaging and fun walking tour of the farm, pointing out all the Polynesian canoe crops growing on the farm.

Excellent Tasting

After a light stroll through the orchard (primarily on a dirt road), you’ll head to a pavilion for the tasting. It’s all delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed trying the different types of chocolate.

About 21 Degrees Estate

Aptly named for the latitudinal location of Oahu, 21 Degrees Estate was purchased in 2014 by Michael and Maria when they retired from the Navy and Air Force. It was an established farm, but they decided to add nearly 800 cacao trees to the mix, and they thrived. They employ sustainable and renewable practices and diversify their crops to keep the land healthy.

– Whiskey and Chocolate Pairing

We are affiliate partners with 21 Degrees Estate, which means we receive a small commission for each completed booking made through this site. This is done without any additional cost to you. You can read more about our affiliate policies here.

Know that we only recommend tour operators that we know and trust. Your positive experience and trust in us mean more than any affiliate commission.
